The downs n ups of life

Do you ever feel that sometimes things just doesn't go your way? No matter how much effort and hardwork you put in, it just keep going on the opposite direction!

I believe this is the period where the stress factor will seriously seep into your soul and causing hell lots of unbalance emotions running wild inside you. I think you get what I mean!

Recently, I have been thinking a lot! (who don't) It always revovle around the same question that why am I here? What's the purpose of been here? You guys can easily reply, for studies, for a better future, bla bla bla. I've heard enough of all this!

The question is why do I ever want to choose this miserable path of a "brighter" future? I don't see anywhere that a degree or perhaps a good degree will be equivalent to a better future or job!

There are countless of degree holders that are unemployed, or even if they are employed, are they living in a life that they want? Or living in a life, just to make end meet? How many can tell me that they are truly happy with what they have now?

Start thinking people! Is this what we really want?

Bewarned! Lots of think causes lots of grey hair!!

May the force be with you!

I wonder will I get sued for this?

Since I got complain for not blogging, then I shall just write something now.

You must be wondering why there's a apology blog? It's there cause I make one of my housemate super super pissed off. Since it's my fault then I just apologise, that's why. Now the time is 2.44pm in Brisbane and yet I have not taken my brunch! These few weeks has been really really busy, not don't have time to eat, just that I don't remember eating. Just too preoccupied with the things I have to do!

Last week was quite a bad week, I remembered a power tripped causing me to lose 70% of my assignment to dissappear into thin air an hour before it's due! You can imagine how I scream like a girl! But anyway it's already over, so no point crying over spill milk!

So anyway, I was reading Mr Brown blog and came across this article about singapore education. Apparently, someone who is studying oversea wrote to him about how screw up our education system is! And I think I have to agree to it totally!! For those who hasn't had the chance of an alternative education, here's what is it about.

In Singapore, maybe for my case, I was spoonfed all the way from kindergarden to Polytechnic! Whatever the teacher or lecturer speak is about how it would appear in exams. I think I can safely said that if you were to pay close attention to classes and lecture, most likely you will be able to attempt the papers in the exam. Although I still prefer the spoonfed method, it's just makes my life easier! As you know I'm not a very hardworking person!

Whereas, over here in australia, what the lecturers talk about is the theory behind it. They will actually quote real life example of how things is suspose to work. They will want you to understand the concept of things. You will also notice that it's people from the western countries that is asking question and debating about issues. But only to singaporeans, we will just go nodding our head!!

The other article from Mr Brown is about Singapore Casino!(You have to download the mp3, it's their conversation to it!) It's quite hilarious about how Singapore make it sure a way that there is no Casino! Contradicting right? They called it Integrated Resort! You see there's no Casino in any of it!

So Mr Brown and gang was mentioning that Singapore should might as well integrate a brothel into it! And the best part, the brothel will be run by NTU'see' (For foreigners, NTUsee is our Trade Union! Go search the internet). So the brothel been part of NTU'see' must have a nice name right? For taxi in singapore we call it COMFORT, then the brothel shall be named as COMFORT WOMEN!

So everytime when you visit the brothel, the pimp or prostitue will ask, "ni shi member mah?" (translating : Are you a member?) So you can top up your link points, then maybe you can change your link point for condoms, viagra etc.

Imagine this, on the right u have Casino(opps, Singapore got no casino, only "Intergrated Resort"), the left you will have a brothel, and the middle you can find yourself a NTUC supermarket!

Remember Singapore is a hub!

I am sorry..

My deepest Condolences.

A minute of silence for the People's President.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Singapore's former President, Wee Kim Wee died early on Monday morning (5.10am) at his home from complications due to a relapse of prostate cancer. He had been admitted to hospital two days ago after being sick for one month but had asked to return to his home.

He was 89 years old. His eldest son, 68-year-old Bill Wee, told Channel NewsAsia that Dr Wee's body will be placed in the Istana for the public to pay their last respects from Tuesday till Thursday.

And he will be cremated on Friday.

Mr Bill Wee said his father had expressed a wish not to have his remains interred at the Kranji War Cemetery.

Instead, he wished to be buried at the public ce
metery in Mandai, where ordinary Singaporeans are buried.

Dr Wee was President from 1985 to 1993.

He was known as a People's President, displaying a genuine concern for others and a natural warmth that touched many lives.

Born in 1915, Dr Wee rose from a humble station in life, starting out as a clerk in the Straits Times before becoming a reporter. He also worked for the United Press Association and was its Chief Correspondent in the 1950s.

Then came his worldwide scoop in 1966: an interview with a General Suharto of Indonesia who announced to the world that he wanted to end the three-year long Confrontation between Indonesia and Malaysia.

It seemed natural that with his many contacts in the region made during his years a journalist, he moved on to the next stage of his career as a diplomat.

For his contributions as High Commissioner to Malaysia, a post he held for 7 years, he was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal in 1979.

He went on to become Ambassador to Japan and South Korea.

After retiring from the diplomatic service in 1984, he took up a new post as Chairman of the then Singapore Broadcasting Corporation.

A year later, he became President, determined to make the Presidency as accessible as possible to ordinary Singaporeans.

His genuine concern for others and natural warmth touched many lives.

He retired from the Presidency in Sept 1993, citing his age, health and Constitutional amendments which provided for an Elected President.

Dr Wee said it was best for Singapore that a new man was put in place.

He remained active in community work after retirement, and will be fondly remembered by Singaporeans from all walks of life as a man who always had a smile for everyone.
